Erode Textile Mall Pvt. Ltd.

Our place, Erode Textile Mall Pvt. Ltd., is right on NH 47 in Gangapuram. We are situated quite close to the main market area. It is a large building where we keep all sorts of textiles and fabrics. Because we are near the highway, there is always a lot of traffic passing by. The sound of trucks and cars is constant. Inside, it is much quieter, filled with the smell of new cloth and long rows of shelves. We have different sections for different types of materials. Some are for local use and some get sent further away. People from Gangapuram and the surrounding towns come here to look at what we have. It is not a fancy shopping mall with a food court or anything like that. It is more of a warehouse and a sales floor combined. We spend the morning unloading new stock and the afternoon helping customers. Sometimes we have to move heavy rolls of fabric which is a lot of work. The staff is mostly local people who know a bit about the textile trade. We have a desk near the front where we handle the payments and talk to the regulars. It is a busy environment but we try to keep things moving. We have been here on NH 47 for a good while and it is a convenient spot for everyone who needs cloth for their own shops.
