Our place is at No. 2 Sai Sadan on Marapalam Street, specifically the 3rd Cross in K.A.S. Nagar. It's a bit tucked away, so people sometimes miss the turn the first time they visit. We deal with textiles and fabrics mostly. The office is small and filled with rolls of cloth and sample books that are stacked up on almost every available shelf. It gets a bit dusty with all the threads, but we try to sweep it out every morning. Usually, there are a couple of us here drinking tea and looking over the orders that came in. We don't do much in the way of advertising; most folks find us because someone else told them where we were. The street outside can get quite narrow when the delivery vans are parked, so it's always a bit of a scramble to move things around. We use old wooden desks that have been here since the start. There is no air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day long. We spend our time checking how the weaves look and making sure the colors are what they should be. It’s a steady job and we like the neighborhood. People stop by to chat even if they aren't buying anything. We have a routine that works for us, and we don't see any reason to change it much. It's just a regular shop where work gets handled.
