Aharam

Aharam is located inside Avinashi. It is a place that feels very local and tied to the community here. Most days start before the sun is really hot, and we begin setting things up for the hours ahead. The space is not very large, so we have to be careful about how we move around each other. You can hear the sounds of the town coming in from the outside, which keeps us feeling connected to what is happening. We don't have any of those polished marketing slogans or a fancy board of directors. It is just a small group of us who have been working together for a while now. We know each other's habits and how to get things done without talking too much. The walls have a few scuffs and the furniture is just basic stuff that works. Sometimes it gets quite busy and we have to hustle to keep up, but we prefer being busy over sitting around doing nothing. We don't make things sound more complicated than they are. We are just here in Avinashi, doing our daily tasks and seeing the same faces come by. It is a simple routine that we have grown to like over the years. We focus on the work right in front of us and don't worry much about the rest. If you are ever around this way, you will see us just going about our business in our usual way. It is just a normal, everyday kind of place for regular people. We stay open until the evening.
