Our office is at No. 383 in Bhavani. If you’ve been to this part of the country, you know Bhavani is a place with its own pace. We handle the marketing and distribution side of things here. Mostly, that means dealing with footwear. There are boxes stacked up everywhere you look, and we spend a lot of time counting stock and checking sizes. It’s the kind of business where you’re always on the phone with shop owners or talking to the guys who drive the delivery vans. We aren't tucked away in some high-rise; we’re right here on the ground where the action is. The weather can be quite hot, so we keep the windows open, and you can hear the street noise all day long. We don't have any formal mission statements hanging on the walls. We just want to make sure the right shoes get to the right stores so people can buy them. It’s a lot of manual work, moving cartons and making sure the labels are correct. Sometimes we make a mistake and have to send a truck back, but that’s just part of the trade. We’ve been doing this for a long time, and we know most of the local traders by name. It’s a small operation, but we stay busy from the time we open until we lock up for the night. We enjoy the local atmosphere and the people we see every single day.
