Arasan Eye Hospital

We are right here in Block No.26 of Annamalai Layout. Most people find us because we are so close to the bus stand. It stays busy outside with all the buses coming and going, but inside it’s usually a bit quieter. We spend our days looking at eyes and helping people figure out why their vision is blurry. There are plenty of chairs in the waiting area, though sometimes they all get filled up on Monday mornings. We have been in this spot for a while now. The building is easy to spot once you get off the main road. Our staff mostly just gets on with things, cleaning the equipment and making sure the files are in order. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a minute for the backup to kick in. People bring their kids in for checkups and sometimes older folks come because they can't read the news anymore. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation here. We have a few different rooms for testing and a place where people look at frames for glasses. The walls are mostly plain and we keep the floors swept. It’s not a fancy place, just a hospital where we focus on eye care. Most of us have lived in this area for years, so we know many of the faces that walk through the door. We just try to keep things organized and help the doctors get through their lists without too much trouble.
