About Apollo Hospitalschennai – Medical & Healthcare in Erode
Working at Apollo Hospitalschennai on Annamalai Nagar is an experience, mostly because of the heat. The building at 5/11 is a bit older, and you can tell by the way the walls look in some of the back hallways. It’s a tight space. We don’t have these massive wide-open lobbies like the newer places. Everything is a bit more compact here. We see a lot of local families from the surrounding streets. It’s the kind of place where you see the same faces every week. The morning shift starts early, and there’s always a crowd waiting before the doors even open. We spend a lot of time managing the queues. It’s not always easy because people get impatient when it’s humid and the waiting room is full. We try to keep the fans going, but sometimes it’s just not enough. The nurses are always on their feet, moving from one room to another. I spend most of my time behind a desk, dealing with various forms and talking to insurance people on the phone. It’s not a glamorous job. We have a small tea stall just outside where most of us go when we get a ten-minute break. It’s a simple life. We aren't doing anything fancy; we're just here to help people get their consultations and go home. The noise from the street comes in through the windows sometimes, but you get used to it after a few days. It's just Chennai for you.
