Adhavan Dye Chem

Our place is at 19, Kamaraj Street, and if you know this area, you know how tight the roads can get. We’ve been running Adhavan Dye Chem from this spot and it’s always a bit of a squeeze when deliveries arrive. Most of what we do involves dyes and various chemicals, so there’s always a lot of buckets and bags sitting around. It’s not a shiny corporate office or anything like that, just a functional space where we get the job done. The morning tea break is probably the most consistent part of our day. We spend most of our time checking stocks and talking to suppliers. Sometimes the phones won't stop ringing and other days it's quiet enough to actually get the inventory sorted properly. We’ve grown to know all the neighbors on Kamaraj Street pretty well over the years. It feels like a community here even though we’re all busy with our own businesses. We don't have any big speeches to give about what we do, we just provide the dyes people ask for and try not to make mistakes. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually try to do the heavy lifting before noon if we can manage it. If you walk down the street, you’ll see our door, probably with a few crates sitting outside. It's just how we operate day to day without any fuss.
