Alden Engineers

Alden Engineers is located out in Ochanthuruth, with our workshop being over at Njarakkal in Vypeen. Being out on the island means we get a bit of a breeze from the water, which helps when the welding torches are going. The workshop is a loud place. There is always the sound of metal hitting metal or someone using a grinder. We have got grease on our hands most of the day, and our work clothes have definitely seen better times. It is a real workshop, not some clean showroom. We have stacks of iron rods, old engine parts, and heavy tools scattered across the benches. It takes a certain kind of person to like the smell of oil and burnt metal, but that is what we grew up with. We just take things as they come. If a boat engine needs looking at or some construction part needs fixing, we just get to it. The road to the workshop can be a bit bumpy, and sometimes the rain makes things a little messy, but we do not mind. We are not trying to be anything other than a local engineering spot. Most of us have lived in Vypeen our whole lives, so we know the people and the way things work around here. It is just us, some heavy machines, and a lot of hard work every day. We just keep our heads down and finish the jobs.
