Golden Stamps is located in the Ngo Quarters area of Vazhakkala, right here in Kochi. It’s not a big factory or anything, just a small workspace where we make rubber stamps. We’ve been in this part of Kerala for several years now. Making stamps is a detailed job, so we spend a lot of time hunched over the machines. The smell of ink and rubber is something we’ve grown to like. It’s a quiet neighborhood for the most part, which helps when you need to concentrate on small text. We get a lot of people from the local offices coming in when they need a new official seal or a simple address stamp. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of our work happens on a couple of old wooden tables. Sometimes the machines are loud and the neighbors might complain, but we try to keep it down. It’s just a regular local business. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone tells a friend about us and that’s how we get our customers. We take our time with each order to make sure the lines are sharp and the ink flows right. It’s honest work and it pays the bills. If you’re ever near the Ngo Quarters, you can just ask for the stamp makers and someone will point you to our door. We'll be there working away at the bench like always.
