Upadhyaya Welfare Foundation

The Upadhyaya Welfare Foundation is located in Kamal Nagar, Manacadu. Our address is TC 49/ 277, which is a small building in a residential neighborhood of Thiruvananthapuram. It feels more like a community center than a formal office. We have people from the neighborhood dropping in all the time just to say hello or ask for help with something. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of donated items and paperwork piled up. We don't mind it much because it shows we are actually doing something. Kamaleswaram is a friendly area, and we like being part of it. We started this foundation to help out with local welfare, and being right in the middle of the community makes that easier. We don’t have a big board of directors or anything fancy. It’s just a few of us who take turns managing things. Sometimes we have meetings out on the porch because it’s cooler than being inside. We don't have any professional writers, so this is just us telling it like it is. It’s a humble setup, but it’s ours. If you walk down the street in Kamal Nagar, you’ll find us eventually. There is usually a stray cat or two hanging around the front door waiting for scraps. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so much going on, there is always a box out of place.
