Universal Pharmaceutical

Down in Kochi, near Bictila, things are always moving fast. Universal Pharmaceutical is tucked into this area, and we’ve seen a lot of changes around here lately. The humidity in Kochi is no joke, so we are always checking on the stock to make sure everything stays dry and cool. The shop itself is a bit cramped because we try to keep a lot of things on hand for the locals. You’ll see boxes stacked in corners and stacks of ledgers on the desk. It’s not the most organized-looking place in the world, but we know where everything is. Near Bictila, the traffic can be a nightmare during the evening rush hour, so we usually see a rush of people right before we close up for the night. We don’t have a fancy website or a big corporate team. It’s just us handling the counter and answering the phone when it rings. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s silent for hours. We take that time to clean the glass or reorganize the vitamins in the front cabinet. We’ve had the same sign outside for ages, and the paint is peeling a little at the edges. It doesn't really matter as long as people can find the place. We just focus on the task at hand, whether it’s checking an expiry date or helping someone find a specific brand of cough syrup. It’s a busy life in a busy city like Kochi.
