Our office is tucked away in Room No. 10/139-d of the SNDP 1060 building. We are located in Valluvally, right near the Koonammavu Post Office in Ernakulam. It is a handy location because everyone knows where the post office is. The space we have is not very large, but it fits our desks and the few chairs we have for people who stop by. You can hear the sounds of the town outside, like the buses passing by and the school kids walking home in the afternoon. We have been in this spot for some time now, and we know the tea shop guy across the street pretty well. He brings us tea twice a day. The walls are painted a simple off-white, and we have some calendars hanging up to keep track of the dates. People come in from the surrounding houses to talk about their savings or see how their accounts are doing. We don't have any flashy signs or anything like that. Just the name on the door and a few people working inside. It is a very local setup, and we prefer it that way. We use a lot of paper notebooks because we find it easier than typing everything into the computer sometimes. It feels more real to write things down by hand. We mostly deal with friends and neighbors who have lived here as long as we have.
