We are over here in building 11/512F, which is right by the ZIMS online center in Ayancheri. It’s a pretty easy spot to find if you’re familiar with the area. We have been working out of this space for some time now, just handling the daily paperwork and meeting with people from around the neighborhood. It’s not a big corporate setup with glass walls or anything like that. Just a regular room with desks and files where we sit and get things done. Most of the folks who come in are people we see every day at the tea shop or on the street. We deal with the Nidhi activities, mostly helping people save a bit or take a small loan when things get tight. It’s practical work. Sometimes the office gets a bit dusty because of the road outside, but we keep it tidy enough. There is a lot of talking that goes on here because everyone knows everyone. We don’t have a fancy website or a big team of managers. It’s just us. We open up in the morning, sort out the ledgers, and talk to whoever walks through the door. It’s a quiet life mostly, except for when the market nearby gets busy. Being near the online center helps people find us if they are new. We just try to be helpful and keep the accounts straight for everyone involved in the group.
