Social Workers Inter Foundation Fellowship

We are based in the Aisha Building on Shasta Temple Road in Kaloor. It’s on the first floor, door number 69/3760. The Social Workers Inter Foundation Fellowship is basically a group of us who have been doing community work for a long time. We decided to come together under one name to make things a bit more organized. Kaloor is a busy place, so there’s always something that needs doing. We aren't a big corporate entity. We’re just social workers who know each other from various projects over the years. Our office is pretty plain, just some desks and a lot of folders stacked against the walls. We spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting people at the local cafes because our office is a bit small. We don't have a big marketing budget or a polished look. We just wear our regular clothes and get to work. Sometimes it’s hard to keep track of everything, but we do our best with what we have. The fellowship part is important because we rely on each other a lot for support. It can be tiring work, seeing the tough side of life every day. But having this spot in the Aisha Building gives us a place to regroup and plan our next move. We’re just ordinary people trying to help out other ordinary people in the city. It’s hard work, but we like the freedom of working for ourselves like this.
