Saradeyam Nidhi Limited is based in Puthenvelikkara. Our office is actually inside the Sree Sarada Vidya Mandir building, at number 6/201A. Being near the school means we hear the sounds of students and bells throughout the day, which keeps things lively. Elenthikkara is a nice place to be, and we’ve been here for a good while now. The office itself is pretty basic. We have a few cupboards for the files and a table where we sit to meet with the members. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We mostly deal with people from the surrounding villages who need a safe place for their savings. Sometimes we have tea together while discussing the paperwork. The walls are painted a simple color and we have a few calendars hanging up. It gets a bit dusty because of the road nearby, but we try to keep it clean. We handle the daily transactions and make sure everything is recorded properly in the books. It’s a steady pace of work. We don't have any fancy technology, just the stuff we need to get the job done. Most of the people who come in are friends or relatives of someone we already know. It feels more like a community spot than a business office. We are just regular people doing our jobs in this part of Ernakulam. It is a quiet life and the work is consistent.
