Rayan Foundation

Rayan Foundation is located over at Kattookaran Villa, which is part of the Westhill area near the Kachery post. It’s a bit of an older building, number 68/803, and it has that lived-in feel which we prefer over those cold, modern office blocks. Working from a villa means there is usually a bit of green around and it stays relatively cool even when the sun is beating down on West Hill. We spend our mornings going through requests and seeing what the local community needs. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always noise from the street, but inside we just keep our heads down and focus. We aren't a massive organization with branches everywhere. We are right here in this specific spot. Some days are slow and we just tidy up the office, and other days the phone won't stop ringing. We try to keep things simple. If someone needs help, they usually just drop by the villa. We have a couple of desks pushed together and a lot of old chairs for visitors. It isn't about looking professional for us; it’s about actually being here and being reachable. The Kachery area has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a part of that over the years. We just keep doing our thing, day in and day out, without making a big fuss about it. We’re just regular people trying to do something useful.
