Out here in Kathettua R Nagar, things are pretty steady. We’ve been operating the Ray Of Love Development Foundation from this P.O. address for some time. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find people in suits running around with clipboards. We’re more likely to be found sitting around a wooden table trying to figure out how to help someone in the neighborhood with a specific problem. The foundation is small, and that’s how we like it because we actually know the names of the people who come through the door. The post office is nearby, which is handy for all the paperwork we have to send out. Sometimes the heat gets a bit much in the afternoon, so we slow down for a bit, but there is always something to do. We don’t have a fancy website with flashing lights. Most people find out about us just by talking to their neighbors. We deal with whatever comes our way, whether it's helping a family or just giving some advice on local matters. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you aren't from the area, but once you arrive, it's just a regular house-like setup where work happens every day. We don't make big promises, we just show up and do what we can with the resources we have at hand. It is simple, everyday work for the community here in the Nagar.
