Peter and Paul Exim is over in Kolenchery, specifically in the Moosarippadi area. If you’re driving through Ernakulam, you might pass by our building without noticing it much. It’s Building No 276 in Ward 9. We spend our days dealing with various export and import tasks. It's a lot of coordination with suppliers and making sure the logistics don't fall apart. Sometimes things go smooth, other days a truck gets delayed or a form is filled out wrong. That's just the nature of the business. We aren't a huge corporation with hundreds of employees. It's just a few of us here making sure the orders get filled. The office gets a bit dusty because of the road outside, but we don't mind much. We’ve been at this for some time now. Dealing with international trade from a place like Arikkaranad has its challenges, but we’ve figured out the shortcuts over the years. We usually have tea together in the afternoon while looking over the day's logs. It’s quiet work mostly, interrupted by the occasional phone call or someone dropping off a delivery. People around here know us as the guys who ship things. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. We just do the work and go home to our families in the evening. It’s a decent way to make a living in Kerala. We hope to keep it going like this.
