Paluk Hospital

Down in Palluruthy, we’ve been operating the hospital for a good bit of time now. The street stays fairly busy, and you get used to the noise of the town after a while. Most people who come through our doors are from right around the corner or the next street over. It’s a local kind of place. We don’t have those big flashy signs you see in the city center. Instead, we have a simple entrance and a desk where we handle the daily visitors. Working here means you get to know the faces of the neighbors. Sometimes it feels like more of a community hub than just a medical building. We spend a lot of time just keeping up with the maintenance and making sure things are clean for the next person who walks in. The afternoon sun hits the front of the building pretty hard, so we usually keep the blinds pulled a bit. It’s a practical space, nothing more and nothing less. We deal with the usual stuff you’d expect at a clinic in Palluruthy. Life moves at its own pace here. We might be filing papers one minute and helping someone find their way to a room the next. It is what it is. We are just a group of people working together to keep this place running for whoever happens to need us. The hallway is a bit narrow and the floor tiles are mismatched in the back, but it doesn't bother anyone. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay helpful.
