Onapudava Textiles Private Limited

We are located over in Kaniyarkode at the Sri Sai building, which isn't hard to find if you know the Kuthampilly area. Onapudava Textiles Private Limited has been part of this neighborhood for some time now. Mostly, we deal with the local fabrics and the traditional stuff people around Thrissur look for when there is a festival or a wedding coming up. The shop is at 2/400 and it gets quite busy during the season. My family and a few helpers spend the whole day sorting through stocks and talking to weavers. It isn't a fancy office with big glass windows or anything like that. It’s just a practical workspace where we get things done. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the afternoon and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It’s a good community here and everyone knows everyone. We try to keep things simple and honest because that’s how people are in this part of Kerala. You’ll see a lot of white and gold cloth around here because that is what we are known for. We don't really do much advertising because people just walk in or hear about us from their neighbors. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the inventory, but it keeps us busy and out of trouble. Anyway, that is pretty much what goes on here at our place in Thrissur. We’re just regular folks running a textile business.
