Nu Ayurveda Clinic

We've been here on ST Josephs School Road in Kalamassery for a while now. The building is easy to find if you're heading toward the school. Most days, it's just us taking care of whoever walks through the door looking for some traditional help. The smell of the oils is pretty much part of the furniture at this point. People come in from all over Kalamassery, some just for a quick chat and others staying longer for treatments. We don't have fancy waiting rooms, just a few chairs and some quiet spots. It gets busy in the mornings when the school traffic is heavy outside, but inside we try to keep things calm. My desk is usually covered in papers and jars, which I should probably organize better, but that's just how it goes here. We see a lot of the same faces every week. It feels more like a neighborhood spot than a medical center sometimes. When it rains, you can hear it hitting the roof really loud, which is actually quite nice. We just focus on the basics of what we do and try to help people feel a bit better before they head back out to the road. It's not a big operation, just a few of us working together every day. The front door has this little squeak that we never get around to fixing, but it lets us know someone is coming in. We keep a lot of our supplies in old wooden cabinets that have been here since the start. It’s not a high-tech place, but it feels right.
