Nairs Hospital

Running a hospital right on the N H Bye Pass in Maradu keeps us on our toes. The traffic outside is always loud and it never really stops, which is just part of being in this location. We’ve been here for years, dealing with whatever comes through the door. It could be someone with a fever or something more serious from the road. The doctors and nurses here are usually busy running from one room to another. It gets pretty hectic around lunchtime. We don’t have any of those shiny lobbies you see in the big city hospitals, but we have clean beds and people who know what they are doing. People from Maradu know us well by now. They bring their families here when someone isn't feeling right. The parking out front can be a bit of a squeeze sometimes because of the bypass traffic. We spend a lot of time talking to patients and their relatives, explaining things as simply as we can. It’s a lot of long hours and sometimes the tea in the breakroom goes cold before anyone can drink it. We just try to make sure everyone who comes in gets looked at properly. There’s always something to fix or someone to help. That’s just life at Nairs Hospital. We’re just here on the bypass, doing the work day in and day out without much fuss. There is always someone here if you need help.
