Midhila Construction

Midhila Construction operates out of Vadakepurathan House in Kalady. We are in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, which is a beautiful place to be based. The office is really just a part of the house, so it feels very personal and quiet. We handle construction projects all around this region. Most of our time is spent out on-site looking at progress or talking to the workers, but this is where the planning happens. We have blueprints spread out on the dining table and notebooks full of measurements tucked away in cupboards. Living and working in Kalady means we know everyone around here. We get our materials from local suppliers we’ve known for decades. The pace of life is a bit slower than the big cities, but the work is still hard. When the monsoon comes, things can get tricky with the mud and the rain, so we spend more time in the office then. It’s a simple setup without any big corporate branding. We don't have a reception desk or a waiting room. People just come to the door if they need to talk to us about a building project. We focus on the bricks and mortar and the practical side of making things stand up. It’s a decent way to live and work. We’ve been doing this for a long time and plan to keep at it as long as we can.
