You can find us at the Ktdc Shopping Complex on Shanmugham Road, right at unit number 7/. It's a busy part of town with a lot of people walking by all the time. Lopex Arts And Crafts is a bit of a packed space. We have shelves full of different things we've collected or made over time. It smells like wood and sometimes paint in here. We spend a lot of time just organizing the displays because things tend to get moved around by visitors. It's not a big fancy showroom, just a small shop where we keep the things we like. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird rattling noise, but we’ve gotten used to it. We get people from all over coming in, some just looking and some looking for something specific. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If you ask for something, we might have to dig through a back shelf to find it. It's a bit cluttered, but that's part of the charm, I guess. We enjoy the work, even when it gets stressful during the holidays. Shanmugham Road is always lively, so there’s never a dull moment looking out the front window. We just keep the door open and wait to see who comes in next.
