Living Stone Architects

We've been over here at Living Stone Architects for a while now. Our office is right on Canal Road in Giri Nagar, just a short walk from the Mammootty Bridge. It’s a busy spot in Kadavanthara but we like it here. Most days we are just buried in drawings and site plans. It’s not fancy, just a workspace where we try to figure out how to put buildings together properly. People come in with ideas and we do our part with the technical side of things. Ernakulam has changed a lot since we started out. We deal with the usual stuff like permits and making sure the measurements are right. Sometimes the rain slows things down at the sites, which is just how it goes in Kerala. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm around. It's mostly just about getting the work done and making sure the walls stay straight. If you're driving past the bridge, you've probably seen our sign. We keep things pretty simple around here. No big speeches or high-pressure stuff. We just look at the land, talk to the owners, and start sketching. It takes a lot of time to get a house or a shop right, so we spend many hours at our desks. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up. That’s just the nature of architecture, I guess. We enjoy the process, even when it gets a bit stressful with all the little details.
