Kerala Saree Centre

You can find us right by the Old Railway Station in Ernakulam. Kerala Saree Centre has been part of this area for years. Being near the old station means we see a lot of people passing through. Some are just looking and others are looking for something specific for a wedding or a function. We mostly deal in sarees, as the name says. The shop is filled with rows and rows of them. We spend a lot of time folding and refolding the silk and cotton because they have to look right on the shelves. It’s a lot of work on the hands and back, but it's what we know how to do. We don't have fancy displays or expensive lighting. It’s just the sarees and us. Sometimes the humidity in Ernakulam makes it a bit sticky in the shop, but the ceiling fans keep the air moving. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in town. We just want to have good variety so that anyone who walks in can find something they like. We talk to our customers like they are our neighbors because many of them actually are. It’s a straightforward business. We buy the stock, we show it to people, and we hope they find what they want. There is no hidden agenda or corporate strategy here. Just a saree shop by the station.
