Karthumbi Foundation

Karthumbi Foundation is situated in the Manayaparambil Building, which is number 44/660B. We are located on Sastha Temple Road in Ernakulam. The area is quite lively, especially because of the temple being so close by. You can often hear the sounds from the temple during festivals or even on regular mornings. Our building also goes by the number CC68454. It’s a standard Ernakulam street with lots of traffic and people walking by at all hours of the day. We work out of a modest space inside the building. It’s not one of those glass skyscrapers you see in the newer parts of the city. It’s just a solid, older building where things are a bit more traditional. We have our desks set up in a way that makes the most of the space. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of paperwork to go through, but we make it work. The light coming in from the windows is usually pretty good in the mornings. We don't have any big marketing displays or posters on the walls. It’s mostly just calendars and notes we’ve scribbled to ourselves on scraps of paper. Most of us have been working in this area for a while, so we know the local shops and where to get a decent lunch. It’s a busy, sometimes dusty place, but it’s where we are every day. We just keep things simple and try to stay productive despite the noise.
