Karothukuzhi Hospital

We are located right at the Karothukuzhi Junction in Aluva. Most people in town know the spot well because it’s a major point for buses and cars passing through. Being at a junction means there is always a lot of movement outside our windows. The hospital has been a part of Aluva for many years now. It’s an older building that has seen a lot of things happen in this town. We have several floors, and the layout is a bit traditional, with corridors that connect the different wards and offices. During the monsoon season, the sound of the rain on the roof is very loud, and we spend a lot of time mopping the floors because people bring in so much mud from the street. Our staff is mostly from around here, so we speak the local language and know the families well. The waiting hall is usually filled with people from the surrounding villages who travel into Aluva for their healthcare. We keep things simple here. There are no high-tech kiosks or digital screens everywhere, just a counter where you talk to a real person. It’s a busy place, especially on market days. We just try to keep things organized so the doctors can see everyone who comes in. It’s a familiar place for the locals, and we like it that way. The tea shop across the street is where many patient relatives go to wait while things get sorted inside the hospital. We just keep doing our work year after year.
