Our place is located right in Chottanikkara, not too far from the Chottanikkara Temple. You can always hear the bells or the crowds when it’s festival time or just a busy morning. We have our cranes parked here when they aren't out on a job somewhere else. Dealing with heavy machinery like this means we spend a lot of time checking cables and making sure the engines are running right. It’s greasy work and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. The yard isn't very large, but it fits what we need. Sometimes the traffic near the temple makes it a bit tricky to move the bigger equipment out, so we have to plan our timings carefully. We’ve been operating from this spot for a good bit now. Most of the guys here live nearby, so we know the roads and the shortcuts around this area pretty well. It’s not a quiet job, especially when we are loading things up or testing the hydraulics. We don't have a big front office or anyone to answer phones with a script. Usually, someone just picks up and tells you if a crane is free or not. It’s a straightforward way to do business, and it seems to work for the people around here who need heavy lifting done. We just focus on the machines and getting the tasks finished before the sun goes down.
