Joel Time Industries

Joel Time Industries is located at Joel 62/607 on Spices Street in Kaloor. It’s a busy little stretch of road in Kochi where there is always something going on. The name of the street makes it sound like it should smell like cardamom or pepper, but mostly it just smells like the city and the wet pavement when the rain comes down hard. Our building is a simple one, and we use the space for our work with timepieces and assembly. It’s a bit of a cramped setup with workbenches, tiny screws, and small tools scattered around the place. We have to keep things very clean because even a tiny bit of dust can mess up the small parts we work with every day. The light in the room isn't always the best, so we use several desk lamps to see what we are doing clearly. Kaloor is a central place, so it’s easy for people to drop by if they need something looked at or fixed. We usually have the ceiling fan on full blast because the humidity in Kerala is no joke, especially in the long afternoons. Sometimes we just sit by the door to get some fresh air and watch the cars and buses go by on the main road. We don't do much in the way of advertising or marketing. Most people know we are here just by walking past the shop or hearing about us from a neighbor. It’s a steady kind of work, very quiet and focused, which suits us just fine.
