Indira Gandhi Co Operative Hospital

This hospital in Kadavanthara has been operating for quite a while. Being a co-operative means things run a little differently here than those big private places you see in the city. We are located right in Gandhinagar, which makes it pretty easy for most local people to find us when they need help. The building itself is not brand new, but we keep it running well enough for everyone who walks through the front doors. Most of the staff here are local people who live nearby. We see a lot of families from the surrounding streets every single day of the week. It can get pretty crowded in the hallways during the peak hours, especially in the mornings when everyone wants to see a doctor at the same time. We do our best to manage the flow of people, but sometimes you just have to sit and wait a bit longer than you expected. That is just how it goes in a busy hospital like ours. We handle all sorts of cases, from small scratches and fevers to more serious things that keep people in beds for a few days. The food in the small canteen is okay, nothing special, but it fills your belly when you are stuck here. We do not have those fancy glass walls or shiny lobbies with waterfalls. It is just a practical place to get better when you are feeling under the weather. We have seen many generations come through these doors over the years in Kadavanthara and we just keep the work going.
