Dr Joys Hospital

If you’re driving along the NH By Pass in Vyttila, you’ll see Dr Joys Hospital. Being right on the bypass means we are easy to find but the traffic can be quite a lot sometimes. Vyttila is a major hub, so there is always movement outside our doors. Inside, we try to keep things as orderly as possible. It’s a hospital, so things can get hectic, especially during the peak hours when the roads are jammed. We have different departments, but the feel of the place is still very much like a community hospital. We see people from all walks of life coming through. Some are just passing through Kochi and need a quick look, while others are regulars from the neighborhood. The building has been here for a while, and it shows a little bit of wear and tear, but it’s clean and functional. Our nurses and doctors stay pretty busy. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations or big advertisements. Most of our work comes from people who just know we are here on the bypass. Sometimes the rain makes the bypass a bit of a mess, and that affects how many people can get to us easily. But we stay open and ready. It’s a lot of long shifts and checking charts, but that’s the nature of the job. We are just a local hospital doing our part in Vyttila, day in and day out. We hope the traffic isn't too bad when you come.
