Dharul Shifa Ayurveda Hospitals

Dharul Shifa Ayurveda Hospitals is based in the Aluva area, specifically along the road toward Angamaly. If you know this part of Kerala, you know it is often green and can be quite rainy for many months of the year. Our facility is not like the modern hospitals made of steel and glass that you find in the city centers. We follow the traditional ways, so the building has a more natural feel to it. There is often the smell of herbal oils and boiled roots wafting through the corridors, which most of our visitors find quite familiar. We have wooden tables for the treatments and the rooms are kept simple without too many gadgets. The staff here moves quietly and they have a lot of experience with the various plants and preparations we use every day. People come to us from Aluva and Angamaly because they prefer this older approach to health. We do not have a big fancy entrance or a polished reception desk with a computer. Instead, we have a desk where we write down appointments in a big diary and talk to people about how they have been feeling. It is a slow process and we do not try to rush anyone through their visit. The garden outside has some of the herbs we use, and it is a peaceful spot despite the traffic on the main road nearby. It is just a traditional place doing things the way they have been done for a long time.
