Our workshop is situated in the IDA at S. Vazhakulam, over in Aluva. This is a real industrial area, so don't expect any fancy storefronts around here. We work on generator sets, which is a pretty heavy and dirty job. You will usually find us covered in a bit of oil or grease. The floor of the workshop is mostly concrete and covered in engine parts and big wrenches. We spend our days taking things apart and putting them back together. In Aluva, the weather can be really damp, so we have to keep everything well-maintained to avoid rust. We have a small office area tucked away from the noise of the generators where we do the billing and talk to customers. It’s not quiet when a unit is being tested, but that’s just part of the atmosphere. We have been operating in this IDA zone for several years now. Most of the people who come to us are looking for a reliable way to keep their lights on when the main grid fails. We don't have any polished slogans or marketing gimmicks. We just fix engines and make sure the power flows. It’s hard work on the back and the hands, but it’s what we know how to do. The neighbors are all similar shops, so we help each other out with tools sometimes when someone is stuck on a difficult job.
