Das Residency Home Stay

The house is 1/997b on Fosse Road. We are right across from Fatima School. You can hear the kids playing during their break times and the bell ringing. It is a family house really, just with some extra rooms for people to stay in. We spend a lot of time washing sheets and folding towels. The sun hits the front porch in the morning, which is a nice place to sit. We try to keep the place clean, but with the wind blowing off the coast, a little bit of dust always finds its way in. We do not have a big reception desk like a hotel. It is just us meeting people at the front door. If someone is hungry, we tell them where the good food is nearby in the neighborhood. My mother sometimes makes tea for the guests if she is in the kitchen. The rooms are basic but they have beds and fans. We do not have those fancy key cards. We just use regular keys on a metal ring. Sometimes people stay for a night, and sometimes they stay for a week. We have had all sorts of people through here over the years. We keep a ledger on the small table in the hall to write down who is coming and going. The garden out front has some flowers, but the heat sometimes makes them look a bit tired. We live here too, so the place feels lived in.
