Dapierro Designer Boutique

Dapierro Designer Boutique is located on the first floor of Noel House in Padamukal. It’s right there in Kakkanad, which is always busy these days. Being on the first floor is actually nice because we can look out the window at the traffic while we work. We focus on designing things from scratch here. It’s not like those big stores where everything is pre-made and sitting in boxes. We spend a lot of time with measuring tapes and chalk, marking out patterns on the big wooden table we have in the center of the room. Kakkanad is a good place for us because there are so many offices and people moving in, so we get a lot of different requests. The space in Noel House is bright and we try to keep it organized, though with all the fabric scraps and spools of thread, it usually looks like a workshop. It’s just how we work. We aren't interested in being a huge corporation; we just like the process of making a garment fit someone perfectly. Most of the people who work here have been doing this for years. We talk a lot while we sew, mostly about what’s going on in the neighborhood or our own families. It’s a very personal way to run a business. We don't have fancy sales pitches. We just show people what we can do and let the work speak for itself.
