Binesh Sukumar Architects & Planners is way up on the 7th floor of Penta Tower. If you know Kaloor, you probably know where the tower is. Being this high up means we get a pretty good look at the surrounding area, though we’re usually too busy to spend much time staring out the windows. The office is a busy spot. We have blueprints and sketches scattered around most of the time. Penta Tower is a big building, so there are always people coming and going from different businesses. Sometimes the lobby gets crowded, but once you get up to the 7th floor, it’s a bit more settled. We’ve been in this space for a good bit now. It’s got everything we need to get our work done, even if it feels a little cluttered sometimes. The desks are mostly covered in papers and measuring tools. We don’t really go in for fancy office furniture; what we have is functional and that's what matters. Most days start with checking the schedule and seeing what needs to be drawn or planned. Kaloor is a central spot, so it’s easy for us to get around when we need to leave the office for site visits. We usually stay until the evening when the city lights start to come on. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to keep things moving along steadily without making too much of a fuss.
