Architect Annie

This is Architect Annie's place, located right here in Palarivattom. Ernakulam is where I grew up, so staying in the 682025 area felt like the right choice when setting up shop. It’s not a huge office with a dozen assistants; it’s mostly just me and a small space where I can focus on drawings. Palarivattom is a busy part of town, which I like because there’s always something happening outside the window. I spend most of my mornings with a cup of tea, looking over blueprints and trying to make sense of different spaces. I don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what I do. I just draw houses and buildings that people can actually live in without any trouble. People usually find me through word of mouth, which is nice because it feels more personal that way. It’s been a few years now and I’ve seen plenty of houses go up in this neighborhood. I try to stay organized, but sometimes the desk gets buried under papers and pens. If you're walking around Ernakulam, you'll see my work here and there, though I don't put my name on everything. It’s just honest work. I like meeting people and hearing what they want for their homes. Sometimes we just chat about the weather or the traffic before getting down to business. It makes the day go by faster. I’m usually here from morning until the sun goes down.
