Amzer Infra Project

Our office for Amzer Infra Project is in the Thamarassery building over in Cheranallur. We are right on NH 17, near the Thaikkavu Junction. Being so close to the highway means there is always a bit of dust and a lot of noise from the trucks passing by. It is a practical spot for us because we need to get to different sites around Ernakulam. The office itself is pretty basic. We have some sturdy desks and a few chairs that have seen better days. There is usually a pile of site boots near the door because we are often out in the dirt. We deal with infrastructure stuff, which basically means a lot of concrete and heavy lifting. Our days are spent coordinating with drivers and checking on material deliveries. It’s a lot of phone calls and looking at schedules. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If the phone rings, whoever is closest just picks it up. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a mess, and everything slows down for a bit. We just use that time to catch up on the paperwork that tends to pile up on the shelves. It isn't glamorous work, but it keeps us busy. We have a small kettle for making tea when the afternoon slump hits. It’s just a group of us working out of this building in Cheranallur, trying to keep our projects moving along.
