We are over at the Beevi Complex on Ummer Cross Road. It’s a decent little spot for an electrical shop. We’ve got a front window where we put a few things on display, but mostly the real work happens inside where all the stock is kept. Ummer Cross Road isn't the biggest street, but it gets enough people moving through that we stay fairly busy. Most of our day is spent helping people figure out what kind of lighting they need or finding the right size of PVC pipe for a home project. We aren't experts at everything, but we know our way around the supplies we sell. The shop isn't perfectly organized, to be honest. We know where the bulbs are and where the wires are kept, but sometimes it takes a minute to find the smaller bits like screws or tape. It’s just us working here, so there’s no corporate hierarchy or anything like that. We just treat people like neighbors because most of them are. If someone is short a few rupees, we usually tell them to bring it next time. It’s that kind of place. We like being in the Beevi Complex; it’s a friendly group of shopkeepers and we all look out for each other. It’s a quiet life, but we keep busy enough with the daily repairs and sales that come our way on the cross road.
