St Joseph Dental College

Up here in Duggirala, we run the dental college where things are always moving. It’s quite a different vibe from a regular school because we have older students and a lot of clinical work going on. You’ll see people in white coats walking around the halls and the sound of dental equipment in the background is pretty constant. We have students who come from various places to stay here and study. The campus has its own rhythm, with lectures in the morning and then time spent in the labs or seeing people who need their teeth looked at. It’s a lot of hands-on learning, which means there’s always a bit of a mess to clean up and instruments to keep track of. Duggirala is a quiet spot, so the college really stands out in the area. We don't have a lot of fancy talk; we just focus on making sure the students know how to handle the tools and treat the patients properly. The building is large enough to hold all the different departments we need for the training. It’s a serious place because the work is important, but you’ll still find students chatting in the canteen during their breaks. We’ve been here for a while, and the local community knows they can come to us for help. It’s a busy, practical environment where we just get on with the job of teaching dentistry and taking care of people every single day.
