We are located right in Dukhu Market on Station Road. Being in Jugsalai means it’s always crowded and there’s never a quiet moment. Our space is care of Rajesh Sonkar at number 15. The building is right in the thick of things. You can smell the food from the nearby stalls and hear the porters moving goods all day long. It’s a very old market area, so the buildings are close together and the lanes are tight. We don't have a lot of extra space, but we make it work. Most of the day is spent at our desks, but we often have to step out to the main road for one thing or another. The station is so close that we can hear the train whistles clearly, which helps us keep track of time without even looking at a clock. It’s a bit of a climb to get to us, and the stairs are made of old stone that’s been worn down over the years. We keep the place as organized as we can, though it’s hard with so much happening around us. Jamshedpur is a busy city, and being in this part of Purba Singhbhum feels like being at the center of it all. We are just a group of people who come here every morning to put in our hours. There’s nothing complicated about it. We’re just part of the daily life of the market.
