Our little shop is number 3 at House Number 16, right by the Town Hall Gate in Vidyapatinagar. Baridih is a busy place, and being on the Main Road means we see everything that goes on. The gate is a big landmark, so we just tell people to look for that. The shop itself is quite compact. We have to be very organized with how we stack our agro products or we would not be able to move around inside. It is a lot of manual work, shifting stock and checking invoices. The front door stays open most of the day to let in the air, though it also lets in the noise of the traffic. We have a small bench outside where customers sit while we get their orders ready. It is a family-run kind of vibe here. My nephew helps with the deliveries on his bike, weaving through the Baridih traffic to get things to people on time. We do not have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just talk to people when they come in. Sometimes we run out of change and have to pop over to the next shop to break a note. It is a humble setup, but we have been here long enough that people know who we are. We close up when the streetlights come on and the crowd starts to thin out near the Town Hall.
