Tarapore & Co. Ltd.

We are Tarapore & Co. Ltd. over at Qr. No. 17 Bm/3 on Kadani Road. Being in Jamshedpur, especially in the 831003 area, means we are right in the middle of things. The quarter we work from is an old style building. It has thick walls that keep the heat out a little bit. We’ve got some metal cupboards for all our records. Kadani Road can get quite noisy with the trucks and bikes passing by. We keep the door closed most of the time. Our routine is pretty much the same every day. We open up, check what needs doing, and get to it. There’s a small porch out front where we keep a few potted plants. They struggle a bit in the summer, but we water them. We aren’t a huge company with thousands of people. It’s a small group of us here. We handle the paperwork and coordinate whatever needs doing for Tarapore & Co. Ltd. The light in the office is a bit dim, so we use desk lamps even during the day. Sometimes the mail gets mixed up with the neighbors because the quarter numbers are close together. We just walk over and swap them back. It’s a friendly neighborhood. We don’t have fancy coffee machines, just a small stove for making tea. It’s a practical way to spend the day. We’ve been at this Kadani Road spot for quite a while now and we know the street well.
