Singh Medical

We opened up Singh Medical here at Bajrang Chowk in Baridih because this part of Jamshedpur always has people moving about. The shop isn't fancy or anything. We spend most of our mornings unpacking boxes of medicines and putting them on the shelves where they belong. It gets pretty dusty outside near the road, so we are always wiping down the counters. People come in from the neighborhood with their prescriptions, and we spend time looking through the drawers to find exactly what they need. Sometimes the handwriting on the notes is hard to read, so we have to take a second look. Living and working in Jamshedpur means dealing with the heat, so we keep the fan running all day long. Bajrang Chowk is a landmark that everyone knows, so we don't really have to give long directions to anyone. We just tell them to look for the sign near the corner. It is a simple life here, just managing the inventory and making sure we have the common stuff like bandages, painkillers, and cough syrups in stock. Often, regulars stop by just to say hello while they are out getting groceries or heading home from work. We know most of the faces around Baridih. We keep our logs updated by hand and try to stay organized, even when three people walk in at the same time. It is just us here, doing the work every day.
