We are based at 15 Bhuiyadih Wood Stall in Jamshedpur. It’s right near the Agrico post office. If you live in this part of Jharkhand, you know it’s a heavy industrial area. We deal with fuel supplies. This usually means coal or wood or whatever local businesses need to keep their furnaces and fires going. It’s a messy job. There is no way to stay clean when you’re working in a fuel yard all day. The dust gets everywhere, on your skin and in your hair. We have a small office on the site for the paperwork, but we spend most of our time outside by the piles of fuel. We watch the trucks come in and out from early morning. It’s noisy because of the heavy engines and the loading equipment. Jamshedpur is a tough town, and people here work very hard. We are no different. We don't have air conditioning in the main yard, so the summers are pretty brutal for everyone. We just drink plenty of water and keep things moving. Our records are mostly kept in big paper books because it’s easier than trying to use a computer in the dust and grime. We know most of the drivers who come through here by their first names. We’ve been at this location for quite a while now. It’s a simple business. We get the fuel in, and we send it out to whoever needs it.
