The office is tucked away in the Punjabi Refugee Colony in Jamshedpur. You have to look for Road Number 02, near the Krishna Mandir. If you reach the temple, you are basically there. It’s Quarters Number 21. It feels more like a house than a big corporate building, which makes it a bit more comfortable for the staff. We are near Agrico, so it’s a familiar part of town for most folks. Larsen & Toubro Ltd. has this spot to keep things running locally. The neighborhood is usually quite lively, especially during the festivals because of the temple nearby. Inside, we have our setup with the usual desks and phones. There is always someone coming in or out with some news about a site. We don't really do the whole corporate polish thing here. We just sit down, do the logs, and make sure the coordination is right. Sometimes the chai wala comes by, and everything stops for ten minutes. It is a good group of people working here. We know each other well. Jamshedpur is a steel town, so everyone understands the kind of work we are involved in. It is just a straightforward place where things get handled without much fuss.
