Our office is tucked away in the Government Housing Colony over in Chhotagovindpur. It is a bit of a different vibe being here in Jamshedpur compared to the main office in Mumbai, but we make it work. The quarter number 22/1/1 is where you will find us most days of the week. It feels more like a home than a stiff corporate building, which suits us just fine. We handle a lot of the local coordination from this spot. Jamshedpur is a busy industrial town, so there is always something going on with the projects. We have a small team here. Most of us have been in Jharkhand for years, so we know the layout of the land pretty well. The colony is usually quiet in the mornings before the traffic picks up. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking over technical drawings. It gets hot in the summer months, so the fans are always spinning. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably see a few of us huddled around a desk talking about site updates. It is a very hands-on kind of environment. We focus on the tasks at hand and try to keep things moving along. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just carry on. It’s a straightforward way of working. There is a small park nearby where some of us eat lunch when the weather is nice.
