Dutta Bhander

Dutta Bhander is located at Shop No-02 near the Forest Gate in Napuk. We are quite close to the Sonari Post Office and the Shiv Mandir. You can often hear the temple bells ringing in the mornings and evenings. Our shop is small and filled with various household items that people in the village need. We have jars of sweets on the counter and stacks of tea packets behind us. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint but we haven't had the time to move everything out to do it. There is a small bench outside where older men sometimes sit to talk about the weather. We spend our time checking the stock and talking to the postman when he passes by. It’s a quiet life for the most part. The forest nearby keeps the air a bit cooler than in the city. We don't have fancy barcodes or scanners here. We just know the price of everything and tell the customers directly. The door squeaks when you open it. We keep a cat around to deal with any mice that might try to get into the grain sacks. People come here because it is convenient and we have been here for a long time. It’s not a supermarket, just a small store where you can find the basics for your kitchen and home.
