Centre For Equitable Change (Cec)

We are located over on Dimna Road in the Baliguma part of Jamshedpur. We use a space at Munna Mandal’s place. It’s a pretty well-known area, especially with all the traffic heading towards Mango. We’ve been here for a bit, trying to get things sorted for the local community. It’s not always easy because Jamshedpur is a big, fast city, and sometimes the smaller neighborhoods like ours get overlooked. We don’t have a fancy website or a lot of posters. Mostly, people find out about us by word of mouth or by just walking into the office when the door is open. We handle a lot of different things, whatever comes up really. The room is usually full of papers and some old chairs. It’s a bit cramped, but it works for what we need. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with suits and meetings. We just sit down, drink some tea, and talk about what the families around Dimna Road are dealing with. Sometimes it’s about schools, sometimes it’s about jobs, or just getting the street lights fixed. We’re just a few people trying to make the day-to-day life a bit smoother for the folks in Purba Singhbhum. It’s a long road, but we’re staying put right here in Baliguma. The work is never really done and we still have a lot to learn about how to fix things around here.
